Medical Mutual welcomes Shari Peppard, who joined the Company in September 2021 as a Claims Representative. Shari, a licensed attorney, brings more than 6 years of experience as quality assurance manager at MEMIC to the role.

As a claims representative, Shari is leveraging her legal background to investigate claims and make coverage decisions while working with defense counsel. She is also a certified adjuster, having passed the exam earlier this year. She says she was drawn to Medical Mutual by its professional reputation and because she had the opportunity to work with some of her current team members in the past.

Shari grew up in New Jersey and moved to Maine in 2003. She currently lives in Cape Elizabeth and has two daughters.

Ben Jordan of Gray, ME has also joined the Medical Mutual team as the Company's newest underwriter. Ben previously worked for five years at Seafax, a credit reporting agency specializing in the seafood industry. He most recently held the position of account manager. Prior to that, he graduated from the University of Maine in 2017.

Ben says the underwriting position came along at just the right time, as he was looking to make a career change. "I saw the opportunity and things just kind of clicked," he added.

While learning his new role with the help of the underwriting team, Ben looks forward to being a resource for clients with an emphasis on helping them navigate and better understand their policies.
