Mary Elizabeth Knox — Vice President – Claims
A native of Caribou, Maine, Ms. Knox has a long history of working on behalf of the physicians of the State of Maine. After graduating from Wellesley College in 1982, she worked for ten years with Medical Mutual Insurance Company's lead defense counsel, Bob Hanson (Norman Hanson & DeTroy). In 1993, she moved to Medical Mutual Insurance Company, first as a Senior Claims Representative – and later as Claims Supervisor, Claims Manager, and Assistant Vice President of Claims. Now the Vice President of Claims, Ms. Knox continues to work closely with Maine physicians on a wide variety of topics and provides oversight for all claims reported to Medical Mutual.
